The 9th HbbTV Symposium and Awards in Paris (November 24-25, 2021 ) provided a unique platform to discuss all relevant topics in the HbbTV universe with high-level industry executives and experts.

The in-person event was co-hosted by SALTO, the French streaming platform founded by the leading domestic public and commercial broadcasters France Télévisions, TF1 and M6 and supported by our Sponsors. It took place at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris in France.
The conference programme featured first-hand insights by top-level executives and experts on new products and services, best practice examples and experiences and the latest developments and trends in the connected TV industry. Key topis include the deployment of Targeted Advertising solutions, new ways to use the HbbTV OpApp, the role of Conformance Regimes to gain stability and growth, the latest specification updates and the role of standards in future environments. The 9th HbbTV Symposium & Awards took place this year at the Cité Internationale Universitaire, centrally located at Porte d’Orléans. It was the ideal venue for the 9th HbbTV Symposium and Awards. The prestigious Maison Internationale, the location’s largest building, provides an excellent base for our conference, sponsors and networking.
Master of Ceremony
Our “Master of Ceremony”, who moderated the 9th HbbTV Symposium & Awards 2021, was the Media and Technology journalist Julian Clover. He is the editor of Broadband TV News, an online business-to-business publication and a presenter on Cambridge 105 Radio.
